Why Brand Photography is Important for Every Business

Your visual identity comprises many elements, including photography, but what is brand photography, and why is it important?

Brand photography is a suite of professional images that visually represent your business and fit your visual identity through their use of colors, tone, props, sets, and more. These can include photos of you, your team, your products, your process, space, and other elements that make your business unique.

Let me show you an example because a picture is worth 1000 words, right?

Love How U Age David and Terri Dixon

Please meet my clients, Terri and David Dixon, a referral from Key McKay,  a Digital Business Development Consultant and Entrepreneur Coach I met on Linkedin. Who, by the way, designed their website. Never underestimate the POWER of LINKEDIN!

On our Let’s Chat call, I was able to get a feel for their LOVE HOW U AGE healthy lifestyle brand and what types of photos they needed.

Both Terri and David have been on a Health Living Journey that started 20 years ago when they were introduced to a company that manufactured science-based nutritional and personal care products with the intent to incorporate “all of the good and none of the bad ingredients.” The company’s mission is to be a force for good in the world to improve people's lives. Since those objectives aligned with Terri and Dave’s goals, they’ve become strategic partners by educating men and women about how to Love How U Age – mentally, physically, and financially based on their expertise.

My goal as a brand photographer is to create healthy lifestyle photos for the Dixon’s to use on their website, social media, and marketing materials.

Planning is essential to having a successful Personal Branding Photo Session. I start the process by creating and sharing a Pinterest board filled with posing, props, and wardrobe ideas. Next, we determine the location, date, and time.

Create a Pinterest Board to Brainstorm Posing, Props and Wardrobe Ideas.

To make things organized, I make a list of Key Posing Shots and Props so we are crystal clear of the brand vision on the day of the photoshoot.

Below is the Love How U Age Classic collection of the Dixon’s Brand Photo Session:

Here is how the Dixon’s used their brand photos on their website.
